Kawaii Mermaids Coloring Page #7

A small mermaid floats at the centre of this kawaii coloring page, her long wavy hair framing a face with huge lashed eyes, a tiny nose and a small smiling mouth. She hugs a starfish resting on a scale-patterned top, and her fish tail, covered in small rounded scales, ends in a wide fan-shaped fin. Bubbles, stars, hearts and little flowers drift around her, filling the open background. The hair, tail and face form large areas that fill in quickly, well suited to younger colourists, while the scattered stars, hearts and bubbles call for a steadier hand and finer strokes. Outlines stay bold and clean, making it easy to stay inside the lines. It helps to finish the tail and starfish first before tackling the smaller background shapes, so the palette stays balanced. This printable sheet works equally well with markers or coloured pencils.
