Kawaii Cat with Bow #17

Facing forward and sitting upright, this cat looks out with two enormous round eyes topped by a small shine, a tiny rounded nose and a barely-there smiling mouth. A spiky tuft stands up on top of its head, whiskers fan out beside cheeks marked with a plain oval on each side, and an oversized bow tied over a thin collar covers most of the chest. The tail curls neatly behind, while sparkles, hearts, flowers and small scattered circles float around it on the blank background. This kawaii coloring page mixes large, easy-to-fill areas, the body, the ears and the two loops of the bow, with tiny fine-line elements, the sparkles, flower centers and scattered dots, that call for a fine-tip marker. The outline stays clean and uncluttered, making it workable from about age 4-5 for the big shapes, a bit older for the small details. On a printable copy, starting with the bow, the clear focal point, before moving on to the small motifs around it, keeps the coloring from feeling scattered.
